Services

I offer psychotherapy, performance consultation, and educational services, like workshops, seminars, and presentations at conferences and other educational settings.

Some of my clients present with mental health concerns, while others come to work toward a specific achievement, or to pursue a personal, career, fitness, or athletic goal.

While all clients come to sessions with a “problem,” some focus on correcting negative thoughts, feelings, behaviors or relationships, while others focus on strength-building and life-enhancement.

Not sure if you need therapy or performance consultation?

If you’ve read descriptions for both therapy and performance consultation and feel unsure which might be the right fit, that you might need or want “both,” or that you fall somewhere in between psychotherapy and performance consultation, you’re not alone.

It is common for clients to come to a session with one problem/goal in mind, and for other issues to come up during our discussion. Similarly, clients may present with personal issues, like anxiety and insomnia, as well as a performance goal, like training for a triathalon.

For example, I provide services to athletes struggling with personal and mental health issues that are inferring with athletic performance. With these clients, we begin by determining your goals and priorities, and if the services I alone provide may be the right fit.

In some cases they are, but in others, it has been helpful for a client to see a mental health specialist or some other helping professional in addition to seeing me for performance consultation to ensure that all goals are being addressed in the most effective way possible.

“I met Lisa at an interesting time of my life. I felt stuck. Things weren’t bad, but I also knew that I wasn’t achieving my potential. I needed someone to talk to that was impartial, and could help me identify realistic action steps without overwhelming me. She did just that, and more. I never felt judged, or pushed to make changes that I wasn’t ready to make. In fact, I felt inspired to take meaningful action.”
